This course will remind you of the basics - the proteins, the fats, and the carbs - the very macronutrients that enable you live (and give) as you do. But that is just the beginning. You will learn some clever tricks of the trade like how to calculate the exact number of calories your patient needs to healthily lose that ten extra pounds of holiday, baby, you-get-the-picture weight. Up-to-date information on the Glycemic Index (GI) and Nutrient-Dense Foods are also included - two current topics that you don't want to be the last to know about. This course is available for continuing education credit for California, Florida, and NCCAOM.
