I understand the biomedical approach much better than previously. Before I would get into fear especially when hearing about the side effects of biomedical breast cancer treatment. Understanding better what chemo does in preventing recurrence and metastasis of high risk cancers helped me to understand that although difficult, chemo can be beneficial in certain cases. The Western medical approach to disease is very science based and methodical. As an acupuncturist, it was interesting to see how each approach uses patterns to treat the disease. I learned a lot. Thanks.
I learned that as a practitioner, I didn't know about the different types of cancer from a general to a genetic position. I feel that I'm a little more in tune when a client comes in and we can discuss it with more confidence. :) Thanks.
